Margraves of Valeria: Kickstarter Edition is a hand-building worker-placement game for 2–5 players, with sessions lasting about 120 minutes. Set in the fantasy world of Valeria, it places you in the role of a Margrave defending the land and building magical Ward Towers at its cities.

Command knights to slay monsters or activate locations, gathering influence across the four Guilds: Worker, Soldier, Shadow, and Holy. As your influence grows, you cross thresholds to earn privilege tiles, while your collected Guild icons help determine your final victory points.

Each turn is deceptively simple: play one Citizen card from your hand. Cards offer several possibilities, allowing you to use their action icons, resolve their power text, play them face-down to Recall your cards, or build a Ward Tower. This multi-use card system creates constant decisions as you manage resources, strengthen your hand, and pursue your preferred strategy.

• Shared workers: Knights on the board can be used by any player, so every move may create opportunities for opponents.
• Hero Tombs: Knights who fall in battle are sent to tombs, where you can collect bonuses through an integrated mini-game.
• Resource management: Limited storage on your player board makes efficient token use essential.
• Influence tracks: Advance through the four Guilds to earn privileges and improve your end-game scoring.

The Kickstarter Edition also includes four exclusive bonus packs: the Dragons Pack, Citizen Pack, Reeve Pack, and Monster Pack. These add dragons, bounty tiles, new Citizens, starter cards, and a new monster with unique rewards.
