About this board game

Bagged & Boarded is a comic-collecting board game for 2–6 players, with games lasting about 100 minutes. You play as a kid who loves comics, balancing the thrill of collecting favorite issues with the need to earn enough money to afford them.

Each morning, players plan how to spend their day, then resolve everyone’s plans in order. Invest your time, allowance, and chores money carefully as you pursue the issues you want and work toward an impressive collection.

Your plans can take you to several different opportunities:

• Search catalogs for comics to add to your collection.
• Preorder issues from the comic store or dig through the bargain bin.
• Wait in line at a convention for autographs and swag.
• Stay home to do chores, bag and board old issues, or put comics on display.

Collecting is only part of the challenge. You may sell expensive issues to fund new purchases, or display them to bank points for the end of the game. Displaying comics also increases the value of that series for everyone else, creating opportunities for clever opponents.

Keep watch on your friends, because they may be holding the exact issue you need while waiting for you to raise its value. In Bagged & Boarded, building a large series can be highly rewarding, but timing your purchases, sales, chores, and displays is essential to making the most of your collection.
