Napoleon’s Resurgence is a 1–2 player boxed set recreating the key battles of Napoleon’s Spring Campaign of 1813, when a rebuilt French army advanced into Saxony.

After the disastrous Russian retreat, Napoleon assembled an army of 130,000 men, many of them conscripts trained from scratch in just four months. The campaign opened with the Coalition forces challenging the French in a series of battles shaped by bold attacks, difficult orders, exhaustion, and the uncertain fortunes of war.

• Lützen, 2 May 1813: Russian and Prussian forces attack what they believe is the French flank, only to find Napoleon appearing in person.
• Bautzen, 21–22 May: Napoleon attempts a grand envelopment, but Ney misunderstands his orders and the battered Coalition army escapes.
• Luckau, 6 June: Bülow’s Prussians defeat Oudinot’s XII Corps, saving Berlin.
• Koningswartha-Weissig, 19 May: This bonus battle covers Barclay’s attack against the flank of the French deployment, disrupting its assembly.

Across these engagements, the Coalition has not won—but it has not lost either. Napoleon’s forces are exhausted and urgently need rest and resupply, leading him to request an armistice.

With its focus on four connected episodes from the 1813 campaign, Napoleon’s Resurgence presents a compact historical setting centered on the clash between Napoleon’s newly rebuilt army and the Russian-Prussian Coalition. The boxed set offers players the chance to revisit the campaign’s pivotal confrontations and its uncertain outcome.
