About this board game

Alakazum!: Witches and Traditions is a game for 2–5 players that plays in about 40 minutes. Five witches stand against the arrival of Halloween, fast food, Black Friday, and other American traditions, using potions, spells, and their own cultural traditions.

To win, players collect characters from the same culture and level them up. Once a team is strong enough, its player can attempt to defeat a final boss—an American tradition—and claim victory.

Every turn offers opportunities as well as threats. Players may trade objects, feed their own characters to protect or strengthen them, and fight other players to steal their characters. Seven available spells add another way to disrupt plans and shape the contest.

Flexibility, adaptability, and hand management are essential in Alakazum!: Witches and Traditions. Success depends not only on building your own team, but also on interacting with opponents and spoiling their strategies before they can complete their quest.

With competing cultural teams, direct player conflict, trading, character development, and spell casting, each game revolves around choosing when to strengthen your group and when to interfere with someone else’s progress. Gather your traditions, prepare your witch, and decide whether your team is ready to face the final boss.
