Galloping Pigs is a 2–5-player game that takes about 30 minutes, in which players move plastic pigs around a circular card track to collect food cards as points.

This cute little game is aimed at ages 6 and up, while offering more than a straightforward children’s game. Each player receives cards in the colors of the pigs, then uses those cards to determine which pig moves.

On a turn, choose one card and move the matching pig one space forward. If another pig occupies the space ahead, the moving pig leapfrogs it. This can continue as the pig advances, creating a lively race around the track.

Whenever a pig takes the lead, the active player receives a food card. The round continues until all cards for that round have been played, so every movement can affect the points available before the finish.

There is one important condition for keeping the food collected during a round: your final movement for that round must score some more food. This gives Galloping Pigs a simple but memorable end-of-round challenge, as players need to time their last move carefully.

Released in 1992, Galloping Pigs combines colorful plastic pieces, an easy-to-follow card system, and a playful leapfrogging race into a compact family game.
