About this board game

Queen by Midnight is a battle-royale deck-building card game for 3–6 players, with a play time of about 90 minutes. In the wake of the Midnight Queen’s death, Princesses from the Twelve Lands gather in secret to compete for the throne through combat and guile.

The Queen’s final command invokes the Rule By Midnight: at the stroke of midnight, the most powerful Princess left standing will be crowned the new Midnight Queen. Each of the six Princesses features unique tactics, creating distinct ways to battle and scheme for control of the Midnight Court. Only one Princess—and perhaps her inner circle—can ultimately win.

A striking Clocktower serves as the centerpiece of the game. It tracks turns, presents cards available to buy, and rolls your dice, while spinning to face the active player on each turn. This central feature helps keep the action visible as the contest grows increasingly heated.
