About this board game
Aeronautica Imperialis: Wings of Vengeance is a two-player aerial combat game for 90-minute sessions, pitting aircraft from the Imperial Navy against the Ork Air Waaagh! Released in 2019, this boxed set includes everything needed to play exciting battles in the skies.
Players manoeuvre their aircraft, adjust altitude, and change speed while managing the dangers of aerial combat. Exceeding an aircraft’s maximum speed can cause it to crash or break up, while special manoeuvres add further options, including landing, taxiing, and taking off.
The included rules explain how to build a force using Squadron Lists, perform Ace Manoeuvres, field different classes of aircraft, and unleash ground defences. The set features the Dogfight scenario, along with optional rules for night battles and bad weather conditions.
- Two Imperial Navy Thunderbolt Fighters, which can be assembled as Thunderbolt Fighters or Thunderbolt Fury Fighters
- Two Imperial Navy Marauder Bombers
- Three Ork Air Waaagh! Dakkajets and two Ork Air Waaagh! Fighta Bommers
- A double-sided Area of Engagement game board showing two aerial war zones
- Seventy tokens, eight six-sided dice, aircraft transfer sheets, and two quick-reference cards
The 36-page rulebook includes aircraft details, weapon options, special rules, an eight-manoeuvre reference page, and a two-page summary of key rules. With multipart plastic miniatures supplied with Aeronautica Imperialis bases, Aeronautica Imperialis: Wings of Vengeance gives two players the tools to plan their flight paths and fight for control of the battlefield.
