About this board game

Cargolino Valentino is a 30-minute snail-racing game for 2–6 players, released in 2015. Its unusual objective turns the traditional race format upside down: players try to avoid being the first snail to reach the finish line.

At the beginning, all players prepare their snail figures at the starting line. The race then unfolds through dice results, with players using those results to move the other players’ snails rather than simply advancing their own.

Every move creates a chance to influence the positions on the track. The central challenge is to keep your snail in last position as the race progresses, while guiding the other snails toward the finish line instead.

This playful reversal makes the snail race stand out from a conventional competition. Rather than pushing toward victory at the front, players must pay attention to the positions of all the snails and use each dice result to support their own unusual racing objective.
