Let Them Eat Shrimp! is a 20-minute tile-placement game for 2–5 players about spawning fish, eating shrimp, and avoiding hungry sharks.

Players place fish tiles in a variety of geometric shapes, building their presence across the board. Covering fish eggs allows fish to spawn, providing more fish tiles for future plays and helping players continue their growth.

Fish can also eat shrimp to gain victory points, but the board is filled with danger. Sharks roam through the game, and they can eat fish, fish eggs, and shrimp. Players must balance the opportunity to score with the need to protect their fish and spawn quickly.

In the advanced game, players may be knocked out early if they cannot spawn quickly enough or if roaming sharks devour their eggs. This adds urgency to every placement and makes the changing board a constant source of danger.
