Why Did the Chicken…? is a party game for 4–8 players with a 60-minute play time, first released in 2004. Each round, players have two minutes to create funny answers to a randomly generated riddle.

There is an important twist: one player serves as the judge instead of writing answers. After the time limit, the judge selects the two responses they consider best, and those choices earn points for their creators.

Success depends on knowing your audience as well as thinking creatively. The prompts invite a range of comic approaches, so the strongest answer may be a clever phrase, a pun, an unexpected idea, or something that simply makes the judge laugh.

For example, players might respond to the question, “What do you get when you cross a lion with a pizza?” Possible answers include “Pride in Service,” “A real meat-lovers pizza!,” and “Extra cheese, pepperoni, hold the courage.” The judge then chooses two answers to reward.
