About this board game
Pędzące Ślimaki is a 20-minute tactical racing game for 2–5 players, featuring colorful snails, hidden identities, dice, mushrooms, and plenty of bluffing.
Each player secretly controls two of the five snails, although a snail may be controlled by two players. On a turn, the active player rolls the dice, chooses one die, and moves the snail matching its color. The remaining dice are passed to the next player, creating an unusual system of shared movement opportunities.
As the race unfolds, players try to guide their own snails while concealing which colors they control. Snails can push opponents backward and collect points by landing on delicious mushrooms, so every move can affect both the board position and the final score. The hidden ownership keeps everyone guessing until the closing moments.
- Control two snails, with some identities potentially shared by two players.
- Roll, select, and pass dice to determine which colored snail moves.
- Use tactics and bluffing while pushing rival snails and collecting mushrooms.
- Score points during the race and for finishing positions.
The game ends as soon as one snail finishes the race. At that point, snails score 5 points for first place, 2 points for second place, and 3 points for last place. The player with the most points wins, rewarding careful positioning as well as clever deception.
Released in 2016, Pędzące Ślimaki is the third game in Egmont Polska’s series of racing games designed by Reiner Knizia, following Pędzące Żółwie and Pędzące Jeże.
