Marajoara is a board game for 1–4 players, played over approximately 60 minutes, in which scholars excavate, restore, and display the distinctive pottery of the ancient Marajó culture.

The Marajoaras were a people of a pre-Columbian Brazilian tribe who settled on Marajó Island and at the mouth of the Amazon River. Their culture is especially known through archaeological studies of its distinctive pottery, providing the historical foundation for this museum-focused game.

In Marajoara, each player takes on the role of a scholar managing a museum and its collection of Marajoara vases. Across 14 turns, you will carry out excavations, restore a large vase, and display the vases you find.

The scholar with the most points wins, making Marajoara a focused contest of excavation, restoration, museum management, and collection building. Released in 2024, it brings the archaeological legacy of Marajó pottery to the tabletop.
