About this board game

Circle the Wagons: Second Shot is a 2-player card-drafting and tableau-building game that plays in about 15 minutes. This standalone 18-card set can also be combined with the base game for a fresh set of cards and an expanded challenge.

Three cards are placed in the center with their scoring conditions visible, while the remaining territory cards form a circle around them. On your turn, choose one card from the circle and add it to your tableau. Every card you skip over goes directly to your opponent, making each draft a sharp decision.

Arrange your cards to create connected blocks of matching territories and pursue the three shared scoring goals. Cards must remain vertically oriented and align with a previously placed card along at least one edge. They may overlap, but a newly gained card cannot be placed underneath another card.

• Two-player drafting: Your choice determines which cards your opponent receives.
• Spatial tableau building: Place and overlap cards to develop valuable connected territory blocks.
• Shared scoring goals: Compete over the conditions revealed at the center of the table.
• Newfangled Mode: Use all 36 cards across two sequential sets for an ultimate showdown.

After all territory cards have been drafted and placed, players score points for their largest connected blocks and for meeting the shared conditions. The player with the highest total wins.

In Newfangled Mode, all 36 cards are shuffled and divided into two unique 18-card sets. Players first score only the shared goals from the opening set, clear those cards away, then play the second set using the regular block-scoring rules. Circle the Wagons: Second Shot delivers a compact duel where every card picked, skipped, and placed can shape the final result.
