About this board game

Polaris is a constellation-building board game for 2–4 players, with sessions lasting about 50 minutes. Players position Stars in the night sky to form constellations and accomplish the game’s objectives.

The game unfolds across five scoring phases. Each phase becomes shorter than the last, creating a changing rhythm as the game progresses. The different moon phases are vital, helping determine where you can place your stars during each part of the game.

On your turn, you perform one of three possible actions:

• Draw Cards
• Play Cards
• Take Shooting Stars

These focused choices guide how you develop the sky and work toward your objectives. As the scoring phases pass, the constellations you create and the points you earn become increasingly important.

Polaris draws on the enduring human fascination with the night sky. Its constellations have long helped people share stories and make meaning from the stars, and the game places that sense of wonder at the center of its setting.

At the end of the game, players compare their Victory Points. Whoever has earned the most wins, making every placement, card decision, and opportunity to take Shooting Stars part of the contest for the brightest final score.
