Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell: A Board Game of English Magic is a game for 2–4 players with an 80-minute play time, set in an England where magic has returned after centuries of absence.
Take the role of an aspiring magician and travel across England and Europe in pursuit of greatness. Collect rare books, attend social engagements, and impress your peers by performing feats of magic as you build your abilities and reputation.
Each player takes on one of four principal characters from the novel:
- Jonathan Strange
- Mr. Norrell
- Miss Redruth
- John Segundus
Your journey brings you into contact with familiar figures including the jovial Mr. Honeyfoot, the beautiful Lady Pole, the extraordinary Stephan Black, and the enthusiastic Lord Portishead. These encounters form part of your effort to become the most celebrated magician of the age.
Success requires a careful balance between study and status. While you develop your magical abilities and move through social circles, the gentleman with the thistle-down hair is weaving his own magic in the background.
