About this board game

House of 1000 Corpses is a cooperative board game for 1–4 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. Based on the movie of the same name, it casts players as members of the Firefly family on a mission inside their house.

Players must scour the house for people hiding there, then bring those victims to Dr. Satan before too many rounds pass. Success depends on coordinating the available actions and making effective use of each player’s Action cards.

Action cards allow players to Move, Search, Kill, or Capture. However, the game’s action system penalizes players for performing too many of the same action in a row, creating an important restriction as the group plans its turns.

House of 1000 Corpses includes three different difficulty modes. Each mode features varying victory conditions, giving groups different challenges as they learn the game or seek a tougher objective.

The game also includes solitaire rules, allowing one player to take on the scenario alone. Whether played cooperatively with up to four players or as a solo experience, the central challenge remains the same: manage your Action cards, avoid overusing the same action, and complete the objective before too many rounds have passed.
