About this board game
Star Fleet Battle Force is a Star Fleet Universe card game for 1–6 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. It melds Star Fleet technology with a classic naval card game system, placing ship weapons, attack cards, and defensive options at the center of play.
Ships are marked with different weapons, and you can fire when you hold a matching weapon card. Defenses and attack bonuses affect the battle, while advanced mechanics give some weapons added flexibility. For example, Plasma R can fire a Plasma S card, allowing certain weapon systems to use more than one type of card.
Many weapons can also serve defensively against particular kinds of attacks. This creates a card-driven exchange in which matching the right cards matters, while special effects can change the situation. Special cards include legendary officers, Klingon mutiny, and an Organian ceasefire.
