Skyliners

About this board game

Skyliners is a 2015 board game for 2–4 players that takes about 40 minutes to play. Players collectively build buildings and skyscrapers in a shared building plot, while each player pursues personal bets about what they will be able to see.

The central challenge comes from the relationship between the shared construction and each player’s viewpoint. As the building plot develops, players try to satisfy the bets they have made concerning the buildings visible in the five rows on their side of the playing area.

Because everyone contributes to the same building area, the evolving skyline matters to every participant. Your bets focus attention on your own side, but the buildings created collectively shape what can be seen across those rows.

Skyliners combines shared construction with individual objectives in a compact game experience. The result is a contest built around building placement, visibility, and the effort to have your predictions match the finished arrangement.
