About this board game

Stinker is a 15-minute word and party game for 3–6 players, using anagrams to create humor from jumbled letter tiles and prompts.

Players race to form a response to the current prompt from the letters they have. The goal is not simply to make a word, but to create an answer that can be presented as a funny response.

Once responses are formed, the explanation becomes part of the challenge. Players try to explain what on earth their answers mean, turning unusual or unexpected letter combinations into opportunities for humor.

Stinker captures the tension between knowing what you want to say and finding the letters to say it. Its central word-game challenge can be difficult, while the attempts to justify each answer can be even funnier.

Also known by some dirtier playtesters as “Bananagrams Against Humanity,” Stinker is not inevitably dirty like Cards Against Humanity. Instead, its humor comes from the anagram-based responses and the explanations players give for them.

Released in 2015, Stinker offers a quick party-game experience for groups who enjoy wordplay, creative prompts, and trying to make sense of surprising answers. Race, explain, and score points as your jumble turns into something—hopefully—worth saying.
