About this board game

Next Station: Berlin is a 1–4-player metro-network game that plays in about 25 minutes. Across four rounds, players compete to design the most efficient underground network in the German capital.

Each player draws colored metro lines on their own map, beginning from two designated departure stations on opposite sides of the city. As Station cards are revealed, everyone simultaneously extends their current line toward matching symbols, following the printed connections and observing strict construction rules.

Every round introduces a new color, gradually layering your network across Berlin’s districts. You will need to plan carefully as you work toward linking your two starting stations, spreading through multiple districts, and creating interchange stations where lines of different colors meet.

Special cards add further tactical possibilities. Railway switches can alter how your network develops, while National Train Stations mark important hubs and open up new options during construction.

At the end of the fourth round, players score their completed lines and interchanges. The player with the highest total becomes Berlin’s best metro planner. With simultaneous drawing and tightly constrained route building, Next Station: Berlin challenges you to make every connection count.
