About this board game

Rolled West is a 2019 board game for 2–4 players that plays in about 30 minutes, challenging you to build a mining empire over six rounds.

Each round begins with a roll of the custom dice. Use the results to extract goods from the land, then decide how to turn those resources into progress while keeping one step ahead of the competition.

Wood lets you make settlements and compete for majorities in different terrain types. Securing these majorities is an important part of staking your claim and expanding your position across the developing landscape.

Metals provide several routes for advancement. You can use them to fulfill contracts, make sales, or invest in a burgeoning boomtown, giving you meaningful choices about how to use what you extract.

• Roll custom dice to determine the goods extracted from the land.
• Spend wood to build settlements and secure terrain majorities.
• Use metals for contracts, sales, or boomtown investments.
• Bank resources during opponents’ turns for later use.

Resources do not have to be spent immediately. Rolled West allows you to bank them during your opponents’ turns, helping you prepare for a future opportunity while others make their choices.

Track your decisions on the included dry-erase scoreboards as the six rounds unfold. With extraction, settlement building, majorities, and resource management all competing for your attention, the final question is simple: will you come out on top?
