About this board game
Witch Hunt is a large-group social deduction game for 7–22 players, with an approximately 90-minute play time. Villagers must identify and lynch the Witches during the day, while the hidden Witch team kills a target every night.
Like Werewolf or Mafia, the game centers on suspicion, discussion, and deduction. Players work to determine who can be trusted, but every character brings a unique ability that can affect how the group interprets events and chooses its targets.
A standout feature of Witch Hunt is that eliminated players do not simply leave the game. Dead players on both teams continue to influence the action, keeping their presence relevant after they have been removed from ordinary play.
- Supports groups of 7–22 players
- Combines daytime village decisions with nighttime Witch attacks
- Gives every player a unique character ability, including the Witches
- Allows dead players on both teams to continue influencing the game
The Witch abilities can vary dramatically from one game to the next because each Witch has a unique character. This changing mix means the hidden team’s capabilities are not always the same, creating new deduction challenges across different sessions.
Released in 2016, Witch Hunt is designed for groups that enjoy social deception and large-table interaction. With its combination of team objectives, character powers, nighttime kills, and continuing influence from eliminated players, it offers a distinctive twist on the classic village-versus-Witches format.
