About this board game
Anima: The Shadow of Omega is a non-collectible card game for 2–5 players, with games lasting around 60 minutes. Set in the original world of the Anima: Beyond Fantasy roleplaying game, it blends Western fantasy with Eastern-inspired martial arts, honor, and mysticism.
Players form a party of four adventurers and explore the land together. Along the way, they engage in combat with fantastic beasts and with one another, gaining new powers as the adventure unfolds before eventually confronting an ancient menace.
The setting combines familiar fantasy elements, including magic and medieval arms, with concepts drawn from Eastern traditions. Its inspiration also includes well-known Japanese video roleplaying games such as Final Fantasy and Suikoden, giving the game a distinctive fantasy atmosphere.
The 2006 release includes 110 cards, each featuring unique full-color artwork depicting a character, creature, or location from the Anima universe. These cards bring the world’s adventurers, threats, and places to the table in a visually striking format.
