About this board game

Avant Après is a cooperative investigation game for 2–6 players, with each game taking around 30 minutes. Released in 2025, it challenges players to understand the events that connect two different moments in a scene.

The game is built around two pictures. One group of players sees the scene Before, while the other group sees the aftermath of what happened. Because each group has only part of the visual story, solving the case requires players to communicate and combine their observations.

Discuss the two images to work out what took place between the timestamps. The goal is to build a shared understanding of the events and use it to answer the question cards correctly.

Every case invites the group to compare perspectives rather than rely on a single complete picture. Information is divided between the players, making communication central to the cooperative experience.
