The Glade

About this board game

The Glade is a forest tile game for 1–4 players, with plays lasting about 60 minutes. Set in a summer woodland, it asks you to fill your personal forest board with sets of tiles featuring creatures, leaves, and forest fruits.

Tiles are played from your tile rack onto your forest board. Create a set of three tiles to place one of your toadstool counters onto the central glade board, or complete a set of four to add a toadstool directly to your store.

The central glade offers another way to grow your supply. By playing matching forest tiles, you can claim toadstool counters from the glade for your store. You can also play toadstool counters into enclosures in your forest, creating extra actions as you develop your woodland.

The game ends when one player has played all twelve of their toadstool counters or when all the forest tiles have been drawn from the bag. The player with the most points wins, making every set and toadstool placement part of your path to victory.

Once you have played the basic game, The Glade introduces the matching game. In this version, you also match your forest tiles to the creatures, leaves, or forest fruits shown on your forest board, adding another layer to the tile-play challenge.
