About this board game

Eternal Palace (Kickstarter Deluxe edition) is a highly interactive Eurogame for 1–5 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. Released in 2022, it places you in the role of a noble family seeking the Emperor’s favor.

The Emperor’s palace has been left derelict for centuries, and your team must help restore it. Your workers are represented by dice: place them on the board to collect resources and contribute to rebuilding the palace’s monuments.

Each location is reached according to dice rolls. If another player has already visited a location that would otherwise be inaccessible, you may go there too by paying fish, one of the game’s resources. Completing tasks first, or contributing more than your rivals to monuments, earns tokens that reflect your overall effort.

As you progress, you can recruit new workers and receive painting pieces when locations are unlocked. Use these pieces to create a record of your work, painting the palace and its gardens layer by layer. The family that contributes the most to the reconstruction earns the Emperor’s favor.

The Kickstarter Deluxe edition adds notable components and content:
