About this board game
Marengo is a 1–2 player Napoleonic battlefield game for a playing time of approximately 180 minutes. Released in 1995, it is the second title in The Gamers’ Napoleonic Brigade Series, a line focused on command and control on the battlefield.
The game presents the action on a full-colour 22×34-inch map with 280 die-cut counters. Its scale gives each hex a distance of 200 yards (183 metres), while each daytime game turn represents 30 minutes of real time. Night turns represent one hour.

Military strength is represented at a clearly defined scale. One infantry strength point equals 150 men, one cavalry strength point equals 100 men, and one artillery strength point equals three guns.
With its emphasis on battlefield command and control, Marengo offers a structured look at Napoleonic operations through carefully measured distances, time intervals, and force representation. The game was also nominated for the 1995 Charles S. Roberts Award for Best Pre-World War II Boardgame.
