Fairy Land is a 2012 game for 2–4 players that combines auctions, set collection, and magical item cards in a 45-minute contest to welcome the returning King of the Fairies.

As leader of a noble family of Fairykind, you must prepare a splendid reception. Send the Fairies of your family into the forest to gather gorgeous, fragrant flowers and loyal animal friends, while avoiding the tricky goblins and clumsy ogres that can hinder your plans.

Each turn, the woods fill with new animals, flowers, or goblins and ogres. Players decide which cards belong in each group, creating difficult choices before the active player uses a single action. You can begin a bid for one of the woods, take a card from the Druids, pay for a special item, or use a magical item card already in your possession.

• Auctions: Compete for groups of cards in the woods.
• Set collection: Gather animals and flowers to build scoring sets.
• Special assistance: Gain the aid of the wise Druids and the Fairy Queen.
• Risk management: Avoid collecting too many goblins, or lose points at the end.

When the game ends, players compare their sets of animals and flowers to determine who scores the most. Goblins can reduce your total, making every acquisition matter as you assemble the perfect reception.

With its changing card groups and carefully timed magical items, Fairy Land challenges each family to make the most impressive welcome. Will your collection earn the King’s favor?
