Elixir Mixer

About this board game

Elixir Mixer is a card game for 2–4 players that takes about 20 minutes to play. Set during the annual Festival of Wizardry and Witchcraft, it challenges players to mix potions and prove their skill against rival wizards and witches.

Each player begins with a hand of five ingredient cards. The elixir cards and ten bonus cards are placed on the table, while six random ingredient cards form the market. Players collect ingredients, exchange cards, and look for opportunities to complete valuable elixirs.

On your turn, choose one of three actions:

• Draw a card from the deck.
• Take a card from the market and refill it.
• Place one card from your hand into the market, then take any number of cards whose total value matches the card you placed, before refilling the market.

When several cards of the same color in your hand add up to the value of that color’s top elixir card, discard them to collect the elixir. You may create several elixirs during the same turn, giving you multiple ways to build your score from the cards you gather.

At the end of your turn, check whether you can claim a bonus card by meeting its depicted requirement. Requirements can include collecting an elixir, having each color, or gathering three purple elixirs. Every collected elixir and bonus card is worth 1 point.

In Elixir Mixer, careful card selection and clever market exchanges help you assemble the combinations you need. The first player to collect 8 points wins the festival.
