About this board game

Who? What? Where? is an outrageous drawing game for 3–10 players, with each game taking about 30 minutes. Players combine a WHO card, a WHAT card, and a WHERE card to create a ridiculous scene for everyone else to decipher.

At the start of each round, every player selects one card from each category and begins drawing the scene described by the combination. The results can be wonderfully unexpected, such as “Prince Charles Performing Ballet In Egypt.” Artistic skill is not the only challenge: the finished drawing must give the other players enough clues to identify the scene.

• Choose a WHO, WHAT, and WHERE card.
• Draw the unusual scene created by the three-card combination.
• Pass the drawings around so everyone can guess what was illustrated.
• Earn points for correct guesses and good drawings.

After the drawings are passed on, all players try to guess what each artist intended. Points reward both successful guesses and good drawings, giving everyone more than one way to contribute. The player with the most points after three rounds wins.

One of the game’s standout features is that each person plays individually while everyone plays at once. This keeps the action moving and avoids downtime between turns, making Who? What? Where? a lively choice for a group drawing session. It was released in 2003 and was re-implemented as Who? What? Where? Jr.
