About this board game

Itchy Monkey is an easy-to-learn strategy and tactics game for 2–4 players, with games lasting around 45 minutes. Each player leads a family of lice competing to become the dominant type in a lively ecosystem of monkeys.

On every turn, you spawn new lice and jump them onto nearby monkeys. Alternatively, you can tickle a monkey, causing it to move and bump into other monkeys. This creates opportunities for more of your lice to jump across the board, while also introducing tactical surprises for rival families.

Your goal is to establish a successful colony before your opponents do. A family wins by building a colony on one of several distinctive combinations:

• Three gorillas
• Four monkeys of the same animal
• Five different species of monkeys

The race is complicated by competing lice families, so every move must be considered carefully. Nobody likes nit picking, and a rival’s presence can disrupt your plans just as quickly as a well-timed tickle can improve them.

Itchy Monkey offers varied play through different starting positions and optional abilities. Its straightforward rules make it approachable, while the movement, positioning, and colony-building objectives provide plenty of strategic and tactical decisions.
