Times to Remember

About this board game

Times to Remember is a trivia game for 2–10 players with an approximately 45-minute playing time, released in 1992. Players compete to remember when significant events from humanity’s shared experiences took place.

Each player or team begins with a set of brackets or tokens, depending on the version of the game. The objective is straightforward: be the first to get rid of all your brackets.

On every turn, all players face the same question about a particular time. For example, the question might ask when the first Star Wars film arrived in theaters. Each player uses one bracket to mark a specific year or a range of years on an individual year chart.

• Hear a shared historical or cultural trivia question.
• Mark your best year or year range on your chart.
• Remove your bracket if the revealed answer falls within your guess.

Once everyone has placed an answer, the questioner reveals the correct year. A guess that includes the answer succeeds, allowing that player to remove the bracket; an incorrect guess means the bracket remains in play.

Ranges can help you hedge your answer, but eventually you must commit to a year exactly. That tension makes Times to Remember a test of memory, judgment, and confidence as players search the depths of what they know about the past.
