About this board game

Ogre: Objective 218 is a two-player strategy game with a 30-minute play time, set amid the fast, deadly armored warfare of 2085 A.D.

Based on The Battle for Hill 218, the game pits players against each other in a fight to control a hill. Each side must occupy bases on the opposite sides of the hill while defending its own position from an enemy advance.

Supertanks, GEVs, and infantry form the core of the conflict. To move toward the opposing home base, players must maintain their supply lines and destroy enemy units. At the same time, they must ensure that their own base is not taken, creating a constant balance between attacking and defending.

  • Objective: Control the hill by occupying bases on the opposite sides.
  • Battlefield forces: Deploy supertanks, GEVs, and infantry.
  • Air strikes: Use them to support an assault or help defend your base, with only two available.
  • The Ogre: A new card that takes two hits to destroy, costs an entire turn to play, and hits hard while carrying a few drawbacks.

Air strikes can turn an attack into a breakthrough or help preserve a threatened home base, but their limited number makes timing important. The Ogre offers another powerful option, though its cost and vulnerabilities demand careful consideration.

With supply lines to maintain, enemy units to destroy, and bases to protect, Ogre: Objective 218 delivers a focused two-player battle over a vital hill in a compact session.
