About this board game

Anno Domini: Wissenschaft & Forschung is a chronological card game for 2–8 players, with play lasting around 30 minutes. It challenges players to arrange historical events connected with science and research in the correct order.

The set contains 340 cards. Each card shows a description of a historical event on one side and the year, sometimes including a specific date, on the other. The game can be played on its own or combined with some or all other Anno Domini editions.

At the beginning, each player receives nine cards, or fewer if a shorter game is preferred. Players may look only at the descriptions. During a turn, a player adds one card to the table, attempting to place it in chronological order alongside the cards already played.

Players can also question the timeline instead of adding a card. When someone claims that the order is wrong, all cards are turned over and their correct years are revealed.

• If the timeline is correct, the doubting player receives two cards and skips their next turn.
• If the timeline is incorrect, the previous player receives three cards.
• The first player with no cards remaining in hand wins.
