About this board game
Feudo is a 2004 board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. Set in England in 1265 A.D., it places players in the role of powerful Barons competing for the precious lands of the manor of Evesham.
Each player moves various units from a castle around a map, seeking to capture cities and eliminate enemies. Movement is driven by cards, while shillings can provide additional movement or pay for the use of mercenaries.
The plague adds an unpredictable threat to every turn. As it moves across the map, it may infect army units, forcing players to account for more than just the position of their rivals. Fog also figures into the game’s atmosphere, creating another reason to choose each move carefully.
- Move units from your castle across the map.
- Capture cities and eliminate opposing forces.
- Use movement cards and spend shillings for extra options.
- Recruit mercenaries and try to keep your army away from the plague.
The setting also offers distinctive choices and surprises. Players may make use of their Milady or go to the Convent, while the struggle remains difficult to predict. If one Baron becomes the strongest, King Henry III joins the conflict, making victory even harder to achieve.
With its combination of map movement, card-driven decisions, currency management, combat, and plague-driven luck, Feudo presents a tense contest for medieval power. Every shilling, route, and military decision can influence which Baron ultimately prevails.
