Night Clan

About this board game

Night Clan is a fast-paced area control game for 2–4 players, designed to play in about 20 minutes. Set in the northern city of Bergen, it combines hidden information with tactical placement and a hint of deception.

As the duke, you must hide your seven daughters and your riches across Bergen before the Troll—Giant of the Forest—arrives at sunset. Each player receives an identical deck of 13 cards, then takes turns placing two cards at a time at the game’s locations.

Daughters are placed face up and can be worth 1 Victory Point each if they survive. Riches are placed face down and are worth 2 Victory Points each when they remain safe, making concealed placements especially valuable.

• Trolls are played face down and eliminate every card at their location unless a Mistletoe counters them.
• Mistletoes eliminate Trolls at their location and score 1 Victory Point when they successfully do so.
• Night Watchmen are played face up and let cards move between locations.

Once every card has been played, the locations are resolved. Trolls that are not countered can destroy everything nearby, while successfully countered Trolls award their owners -2 Victory Points. The remaining cards determine which player claims victory.

With identical decks for every player, Night Clan keeps the contest focused on timing, positioning, and reading opponents. Decide where to protect your most valuable cards, where to threaten rivals, and when to use your Night Watchmen to change the balance across Bergen.
