About this board game

Mozaïk is a word-and-image puzzle game for 1–4 players, with games lasting around 30 minutes. Across 9 rounds, each player creates a personal 3×3 grid of 9 images, then surrounds it with 9 words chosen to match the images as closely as possible.

Words are placed at the ends of the grid’s rows and columns, with a maximum of one word at each end. Each word has a difficulty level—easy, medium, or difficult—and scores more or fewer points depending on how many images in its row or column it logically associates with.

Turn order changes every round, making timing a key part of the challenge. At the start of each round, players compare the number shown on the image they want to play. The player with the lowest number goes first, chooses a word from the center of the table, and freely places both the image and word in their grid. Play then continues from the next-highest number.

A valuable word may disappear before your turn, so selecting an image involves balancing your preferred strategy with the risk of losing the clue you want. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.
