Family Plot

About this board game

Family Plot is a game for 2–6 players that takes about 30 minutes to play, with each player racing to complete a unique Family Tree.

At the start of play, players lay out any Family Members from their hand that match the requirements of their Family Tree. Building the right family is only part of the challenge, because other players are working toward their own perfect families while trying to remove yours.

On a turn, a player can launch an assault using REAPERS and ACTION CARDS. These attacks can unleash threats ranging from a Zombie Apocalypse to a Psycho Killer, sending opposing family members to the graveyard.

• Build your family by playing matching Family Members.
• Attack opposing families with REAPERS and ACTION CARDS.
• Defend your family with Angels, weaponized food, or Tears of a Unicorn.
• Complete your unique Family Tree to win.

The chosen victim is not helpless. A player targeted by an attack can block it by using defensive cards held in hand, including ANGELS, WEAPONIZED FOOD, and even TEARS OF A UNICORN. Timing your attacks and protecting the family members you need are central to the struggle.

Released in 2017, Family Plot combines family-building with direct attacks and surprising defenses. Keep developing your tree, send rival relatives to the graveyard, and complete your own Family Tree before anyone else can do the same.
