Ars Universalis is a board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting around 45 minutes, in which you become a patron of the arts, science, and literature. Support remarkable historical figures, complete their projects, and build the greatest artistic prestige.

Across three distinct periods, from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century, you will encounter 60 influential artists, thinkers, and scientists. Their fields include literature, the arts, and science, offering an overview of the lives and work of the figures featured in the game.

The heart of Ars Universalis is its original system for resolving projects. Each project presents a puzzle representing the creative process and the complexity of a historical figure’s work. Use your perception, ingenuity, spatial awareness, memory, and mental arithmetic to overcome these challenges.

Successful projects reward you with Artistic Prestige and increase your personal fortune. Managing your finances is essential: choose which historical figures to support, decide how to invest your resources, and work toward completing even more projects.
