Peptide: A Protein Building Game is an open-drafting card game for 2–5 players, with a playing time of about 45 minutes. Players compete to connect amino acids side-by-side and create a peptide chain.

To build your chain, you first select from a shared display of face-up cards. These cards represent cellular organelles, and choosing them gives you access to the resources and actions needed during the game.

The drafting choices and resource management elements work together as you pursue the amino acids that can give your finished chain the greatest value. Every selection helps shape your route toward a completed peptide chain.

In biology, the process represented by building this chain is called RNA Translation. In the game, however, success comes from making effective choices while competing with the other players for the available cards and opportunities.

At the end of the game, players compare their scores based on the amino acid types in their peptide chains. The player with the most points wins, making Peptide a focused contest of drafting, resource management, and chain building.
