About this board game
Telma is a card game for 4–8 players that plays in about 20 minutes. Everyone begins by choosing a nickname, creating the key callout used throughout the game.
After the cards are dealt, players reveal them one at a time onto the table. The tension builds whenever cards are turned face up, because a match can suddenly demand a fast response.
When two equal cards appear, the players who played those cards must call out each other’s nicknames as quickly as possible. The player who says the correct nickname first wins the exchange, while the other player takes the cards.
That simple rule makes every reveal important. Players must watch the cards, recognize equal ones, and react quickly when their own match appears. A successful call helps a player get rid of cards, while losing an exchange adds cards instead.
The goal is to be the first player to get rid of all their cards, putting that player on the way to a glorious victory. With its shared table, changing card reveals, and nickname-calling challenges, Telma focuses the whole group on every new card.
Designed for a group of 4–8, Telma offers a compact 20-minute game built around matching cards and quick verbal reactions. Its 2017 release brings a straightforward card-revealing contest to the table, where the fastest call can decide who takes the cards.
