About this board game

Trickdraw is a card-driven strategy game for 2–5 players that plays in about 20 minutes. In the mercantile town of Trickdraw Junction, players collect gold and call on allies as they compete to become the local hero—or villain.

Every card offers a choice. Play it face down as gold worth 1 point, or play it face up to perform its action. With only 10 points needed to win, every card you draw is guaranteed to move you toward victory.

The central challenge is not simply deciding how to use a card, but discovering how to reuse it. As cards enter play, you can find ways to flip them between face-up and face-down states. Whenever you flip a card face up, you can activate it again immediately, opening the door to powerful combinations and unexpected turns.

Flipping a spent card face down can turn an old resource into a valuable point, while a card that was essential one turn may be better saved as gold the next. Because every card has relative value, you must continually reassess your options.
