About this board game
Richard Scarry’s Busy, Busy Airport is a 15-minute board game for 2–4 players in which pilots deliver Busytown passengers to distant destinations and collect souvenirs.
Roll the dice to fill your cardboard plane with passengers. Once your plane is ready, roll again to determine when and where you can take passengers from the airport to one of four destinations spread around the room.
After dropping off passengers, grab a souvenir card and return to the airport. The aim is simple: collect as many souvenirs as possible, because the player with the most souvenirs at the end of the game wins.
- Roll the dice to load your plane with passengers.
- Fly passengers to four destinations around the room.
- Collect souvenir cards after making deliveries.
- Use picture matching, imagination, and strategic thinking during play.
The airport setting gives children the chance to imagine themselves as pilots while they manage passengers and make deliveries. Each turn combines an easy-to-follow dice activity with the excitement of visiting new locations and collecting exotic souvenirs.
With its accessible objective and active destination play, Richard Scarry’s Busy, Busy Airport is an “I can do that!” game designed around picture matching, imagination, and early strategic thinking. It was released in 2011 and offers a complete game in around 15 minutes.
