About this board game

Team Yankee is a two-player tabletop miniatures wargame set in a fictional World War III during 1985, inspired by Harold Coyle’s novel of the same name.

Each player commands a company- or battalion-level force represented by hand-painted miniatures. The game focuses on direct competition between opposing U.S. and Soviet forces, making it suitable for players who want a structured miniature wargame with several ways to begin a battle.

For pickup games, Team Yankee includes six different missions. These provide ready-made objectives and frameworks for games between two players. The book also contains scenarios that let players recreate battles from the Team Yankee novel, connecting the tabletop experience to its fictional World War III setting.

The game is supported by an accompanying range of 15mm-scale miniatures. Players are not limited to that range, however, as the rules can be played with models from any manufacturer.

The release includes four army lists, offering distinct force choices for both sides:

• A United States tank company
• A United States mechanized infantry company
• A Soviet tank battalion
• A Soviet mechanized infantry battalion

Released in 2015, Team Yankee combines fictional Cold War conflict, company- and battalion-level command, and miniature-based tabletop battles. Choose an army list, prepare your models, and use the missions or novel-based scenarios to shape a clash between the United States and the Soviet Union.
