About this board game
Dungeon Dice is a 30-minute game for 2–4 players, released in 1977, in which players use dice as tunneling tools to escape a cold, dark dungeon.
Each roll brings you closer to freedom. Match the dice to earn tunnel cards, which pave the way toward your great escape. The tools represented on the dice include shovels, keys, daggers, ladders, and lanterns.
Getting out will not be easy. Your passage is perilous, with gruesome guards and fellow prisoners ready to challenge your getaway. Careful planning is essential as you decide how to use each roll and pursue the cards needed for your route.
- Players: 2–4
- Playing time: approximately 30 minutes
- Core challenge: match dice to earn tunnel cards
- Goal: be the first player to dig out of the dungeon
Dungeon Dice combines dice matching with a race for escape. Every successful match can advance your tunnel, while every danger adds tension to the journey. The first player to dig free from the dark and dismal dungeon claims victory.
