About this board game

Smitten 2 is a cooperative micro-game for 1-2 players that takes about 10 minutes to play. In this standalone sequel, players work together to complete two identical 3×3 grids of cards.

The nine new cards are designed by Ryan S. Davis and illustrated by The Mico. Each grid is inspired by a Stonemaier game released since the original Smitten, creating two connected panorama-style images to assemble through careful cooperation.

Communication and information are limited, so players must coordinate without simply explaining every move. There is no set turn order. Instead, players indicate whether they prefer to play a card or not play one, making each decision part of the shared puzzle.

  • Cooperative play: Work together to complete both grids.
  • Two game modes: Choose the solo mode or the 2-player mode.
  • Multiple difficulty levels: Adjust the challenge to suit the players.
  • Immediate consequences: A played card instructs the other player to place a card, and that instruction must be followed or the game instantly ends.

Smitten 2’s core design draws inspiration from comic book cards that formed a cohesive nine-card panorama image. That idea becomes a tense test of timing, preference, and trust as players attempt to finish two matching 3×3 compositions.

Released in 2025, Smitten 2 offers a focused cooperative experience in a small format. Its limited communication, flexible difficulty, and distinct solo and two-player modes make every card choice meaningful as the team works toward completion.
