About this board game

Breizh 1341 is a card-driven game for two players that plays in about 60 minutes, pitting rival claimants against each other for the ducal crown of Brittany.

On April 30, 1341, Duke Jean III of Brittany dies childless. Jeanne de Penthièvre, wife of Charles de Blois, and Jean de Montfort, husband of Jeanne de Flanders and half-brother of Jean III, both claim the succession. One player leads the Franco-Bretons of Charles de Blois, while the other controls the Anglo-Bretons of Jean de Montfort.

Across a series of turns, each side carries out military and diplomatic actions inspired by those common in the 14th century. Rally nobles to support your claim, recruit troops, lead forces into battle, and send them to besiege castles. Historical figures can also influence the course of the game.

The struggle continues until the balance of power is decided. After years of confrontation, the player who controls the most territories, castles, and supporters becomes the new Duke of Brittany. With its focused two-player format, Breizh 1341 presents a compact contest built around competing claims, changing support, and armed conflict.
