About this board game

Hold Your Ground is a 2024 board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting around 40 minutes. On a mysterious island that has risen from the sea once again, players battle for control of a chaotic and ever-changing land.

Each player uses a personal deck of cards to move their battlers across the island. The goal is to gain control of tiles while pushing opposing battlers out, turning every position into a contest for territory.

However, the island is not stable. Tiles can randomly explode, scattering any battlers on them onto the surrounding tiles. A carefully established position can suddenly change, sending battlers into new locations and disrupting control of the island.

As the battle continues, the available land is reduced. The game builds toward an end state in which only one tile remains, and only one team can be declared the victor.

Hold Your Ground combines movement, territorial control, and sudden board disruption in a focused fight over a shrinking island. Every explosion can scatter battlers onto surrounding tiles, keeping the struggle in motion until the final tile determines the winning team.
