About this board game

Hundred Days 20: Tolentino 20 + Waterloo 20 is a two-player historical strategy game with an approximately 60-minute playing time, featuring two complete games set during Napoleon’s Hundred Days in 1815.

In Tolentino 20, one player commands the Neapolitan army under King Joachim Murat, while the other leads the Austrian army under Feldmarschall-Leutnant Friedrich Baron Bianchi. The game focuses on the battles of 2 and 3 May 1815 in central Italy.

Murat’s early gains were soon lost against two advancing Austrian corps. However, the corps became separated by the Apennine Mountains, giving Murat the opportunity to try to defeat each one before they could reunite.

  • Tolentino 20: Recreate the 1815 campaign in central Italy.
  • Waterloo 20, 3rd Edition: Command forces during the Waterloo campaign of 15–18 June 1815.

Waterloo 20 places one player in the role of the returning Emperor Napoleon and the other in the roles of Wellington, commanding the Anglo-Dutch forces, and Blücher, commanding the Prussian forces. Napoleon struck first in Belgium, seeking to defeat the British and Prussian armies separately before they could unite.

After returning to France, Napoleon had an army of 280,000 men and was mobilizing additional forces, while Allied coalition armies of nearly 1,000,000 soldiers prepared to move against France. The British and Prussians were the closest, making Belgium the stage for this attempt to exploit speed and surprise.

Released in 2015, Hundred Days 20 combines two concise studies of Napoleon’s final campaign period and the commanders who fought to determine its outcome.
