Manaforge

About this board game

Manaforge is a dice-rolling resource management game for 2–4 players, with games taking around 90 minutes. Each player becomes a wizard who crafts magical equipment for wealthy adventurers and competes to build the most famous magic shop.

The game lasts nine rounds. At the start of each round, six item cards are placed on the center board, showing the magical gear available to create. Every player rolls their own dice, using the symbols rolled to determine the types of mana available that round.

In player order, each wizard spends mana to construct one of the available items, then takes its card and adds it to their collection. Because each player may create only one item per round, a wizard can acquire no more than nine cards during the game.

• Roll dice to generate the mana needed for crafting.
• Choose from six items available in the center each round.
• Use card effects to gain benefits such as additional mana or ways to turn mana into Prestige.

Some cards provide an immediate effect before being discarded, while others remain in play and support your shop throughout the game. The adventurers’ funds are limited, so the wizards must compete for attention by assembling the most impressive selection of useful and powerful magical gear.

In Manaforge, the player whose store earns the most Prestige attracts the customers and wins. Choose your crafts carefully, make the most of each roll, and prove yourself the craftiest wizard.
